10 Best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Video Game Deals (October 2026 Sale)

If a brighter handheld experience isn’t the priority, the standard Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Cons delivers the same versatile play modes at a lower tier, and the PS5 God of War Ragnarok Bundle brings a blockbuster game voucher to anyone ready to step into current-gen PlayStation. Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6-7, 2026, and most offers need a Prime membership.

Our Top 3 Picks for Best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Video Game Deals (October 2026)

Best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Video Game Deals Compared

How We Chose

For this list, the team compared the specs that matter for console and handheld gaming: screen type, storage capacity, included software, controller technology, and platform reach. We checked Amazon owner ratings and review volume for every product in October 2026 and ranked them by the strength of that combination. Pricing wasn’t part of the comparison since sale prices change through the event.

1. Nintendo Switch OLED: Editor’s Choice

The Switch OLED is the standout for anyone who plans to spend serious time in handheld or tabletop mode. The 7-inch OLED panel produces noticeably richer colors and deeper blacks than the standard Switch, and the wider adjustable stand makes table-top multiplayer sessions far easier on a desk or tray table.

Under the hood you still get the same hybrid experience: 64GB of internal storage, full local and online multiplayer, and the complete Nintendo library. Storage is expandable through microSDXC, which matters for the few large download-only releases.

Owners report the bigger screen and improved kickstand as the everyday wins. The most common complaint is Joy-Con size for adult hands, and the dock no longer ships with an AC adapter, so anyone replacing an older Switch needs to budget for one. Compared with the standard Nintendo Switch below, this is the pick for picture quality and a sturdier tabletop setup.

2. Nintendo Switch: Best Value

The standard Switch remains the smarter pick for anyone who mostly plays on the TV and doesn’t need the bigger OLED screen. You get the same hybrid flexibility, the same Joy-Cons, and access to the full Nintendo catalog at a noticeably lower tier.

Inside, you get 32GB of internal storage, which fills up fast once you start downloading titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or larger RPGs. Plan on grabbing a microSD card the same day if your library is download-heavy.

Reviewers report that the value really shows for families who share one console and pass the Joy-Cons around. The trade-off versus the Switch OLED is the LCD screen and the smaller internal storage, but if neither matters, this is the more wallet-friendly option.

3. PS5 God of War Bundle: Most Versatile

The PS5 God of War Ragnarok Bundle is the pick for anyone ready to step into current-gen PlayStation with a flagship single-player game included. The DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers give combat and exploration a tactile feel that older controllers can’t match.

You also get full 4K output, 3D Audio support, and the same fast SSD that cuts load times across the PlayStation library. Owners mention the included Ragnarok voucher as the main reason to choose this bundle over a bare console.

Reviewers also note that the original 512GB SSD can fill up quickly with modern games, so a higher-capacity NVMe is worth considering. Compared with the PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2 bundle below, this one is the right call if God of War matters more than extra storage.

4. PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2: Top Rated

The PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2 Bundle is the sweet spot for anyone who wants more breathing room for downloads. The 1TB SSD doubles the usable space of the launch PS5, and the slim chassis fits more easily into a crowded media stand.

Spider-Man 2 is one of the bigger PS5 exclusives, and bundling it with the console turns this into a one-purchase setup. The DualSense controller is part of the box, and ASTRO’s PLAYROOM comes pre-installed for showing off the haptics.

Owners consistently rate this bundle highly for the storage and the included game. The main note is that 1TB sounds generous until you install a few large titles. Compared with the God of War bundle, this one wins on capacity; the trade-off is the game choice.

5. PS5 Horizon Bundle: Best for RPG Fans

The PS5 Horizon Forbidden West Bundle is the console bundle to watch for open-world RPG fans. Forbidden West is one of the most visually dense games on the platform, and the 4K HDR output plus DualSense haptics are exactly the features that game was designed around.

Performance Mode targets 60 FPS for smoother exploration, and the SSD dramatically cuts traversal load times when fast-traveling across the map. 825GB of storage is a comfortable middle ground between the launch 512GB model and the 1TB slim.

Owners praise the bundle for value and the way the DualSense makes bow combat feel weighty. A small number of reviewers mention ventilation issues leading to shutdowns in tight entertainment centers, so leave a few inches around the unit. Against the Spider-Man 2 Slim above, this one wins for open-world RPG fans; Spider-Man 2 is the right pick for action-adventure players.

6. Xbox Series X: Best for 4K Gaming

The Xbox Series X is the top Microsoft console for anyone who plays at 4K on a modern TV. The 1TB NVMe SSD drives Quick Resume, near-instant load times, and a game library that includes four generations of backward-compatible titles.

Inside is 16GB of GDDR6 memory, ray tracing via RDNA 2, and a 4K UHD Blu-Ray drive for physical disc owners. Owners highlight the 120 FPS capability and the disc drive as the two things that separate the Series X from the all-digital Series S.

Reviewers note that the Series X costs more than the Series S, and some buyer caution is warranted about third-party sellers on Amazon listings. Compared with the Forza Horizon 5 bundle below, this bare console is the right pick for players who don’t want the bundled racing game.

7. Xbox Series X Forza Bundle: Best for Racing

The Xbox Series X Forza Horizon 5 Bundle is the right pick for racing fans who want a flagship open-world driving game on day one. Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition comes with the full base game and the major expansions, which is the version most players would buy separately anyway.

Hardware matches the standard Series X: 1TB SSD, 4K output, ray tracing, and the same Quick Resume feature. The Carbon Black finish is the same chassis design as the regular console.

Owners point to the included Premium Edition as the reason to choose this bundle over a bare console. The trade-off is the higher tier, so if racing isn’t your genre, the standard Series X is the smarter move. Against the Series S Starter Bundle, this one wins on power; that one wins on value and Game Pass.

8. Xbox Series S Starter Bundle: Best Budget Xbox

The Xbox Series S Starter Bundle is the budget-friendly Xbox option for anyone willing to go all-digital. It comes with a 3-month Game Pass Ultimate membership, which is essentially hundreds of games the moment the console is plugged in.

Output tops out at 1440p instead of 4K, and the 512GB SSD is the smallest in the lineup, but the smaller chassis fits easily next to a laptop or in a bedroom. Quick Resume and the Xbox Velocity Architecture still make switching between games nearly instant.

Owners report the bundled Game Pass as the biggest draw, and the compact white design is a fan favorite. The two main limitations are the 512GB storage and the lack of a disc drive, so a microSD-style expansion is worth planning for. Compared with the full Series X, this is the pick for budget shoppers and Game Pass subscribers.

9. Nintendo Switch Lite: Best Portable

The Nintendo Switch Lite is the dedicated handheld for anyone who never plans to dock a console. The 1.3-pound chassis is small enough for a coat pocket, and the turquoise color is one of the most popular finishes in the lineup.

It’s a Switch without TV output and without detachable Joy-Cons, which is exactly the trade-off to weigh. In return, the unit is lighter, the battery tends to last a bit longer, and the build feels more like a dedicated handheld than a hybrid.

Owners overwhelmingly rate it for travel and couch play, and the review count here is the highest in the list. The 32GB internal storage fills up quickly, so a microSD card is part of the realistic setup. Compared with the Switch OLED above, this one wins for portability; the OLED wins for the bigger screen and TV play.

10. PS5 Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition: Best Collector

The PS5 Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle is the collector’s pick in the list, with a black-and-red console chassis and a matching Limited Edition DualSense. It also bundles the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 digital voucher and the pre-order incentive suits and gadgets.

Under the hood this is still a standard 825GB PS5, so the experience matches the other PlayStation consoles in this roundup. The Limited Edition status is the reason to choose it, not extra horsepower.

Owners love the look and the exclusive DualSense, and the bonus suits are a nice touch for Spider-Man fans. The trade-off is the tier: this is the most expensive option in the roundup. Against the standard PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2 bundle, this one wins for collectors; the slim bundle wins for anyone who just wants the game.

How to Choose Video Game Deals During Prime Big Deal Days

Console and PC Compatibility

Confirm the exact console generation, region, and account before assuming a deal works for you. Every pick here is a current-gen console or Nintendo handheld, and all of them require the matching controller and the matching online account (Nintendo Switch Online, PlayStation Network, or Xbox Live).

PC listings for keyboards, mice, and monitors often show up alongside consoles during the sale, so double-check the platform field on the product page. Region-locked physical copies are rare for current-gen consoles but still exist for some Japanese imports.

Edition and Bundle Contents

Distinguish between a bare console, a game-bundle, and a collector’s edition. The PS5 bundles here all include a digital voucher for a single full game, not a physical disc. The Xbox Series S Starter Bundle includes 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate, which is essentially a separate paid membership that activates when you redeem the code.

Standard, deluxe, ultimate, and complete editions exist for most major games, and the listing usually spells out exactly which DLC is included. A “Premium Edition” Forza bundle is not the same as a “Standard Edition” Forza disc.

Price Per Unit of Entertainment

Value during a sale event isn’t only the headline price. A console with a bundled game voucher is a different proposition than a bare console, and a 3-month Game Pass code is a separate paid membership attached to the listing. The cost-per-hour math also depends on how many people will use the console, and how often.

Look at the full package: included game, included subscription, included accessories, and storage. Two consoles at the same tier can have meaningfully different value depending on what’s in the box.

Reviews and Playability

Owner ratings and review volume are the best guide for stability and day-to-day playability. The Switch OLED, PS5 bundles, and Switch Lite all carry thousands of reviews and ratings in the 4.7 to 4.8 range, which is a stronger signal than a single reviewer score.

Look for recurring complaints in owner feedback. Ventilation issues on the older PS5 chassis and Joy-Con drift on older Switch models are the kinds of details that show up in long review threads but not on the product spec sheet.

New, Digital, and Physical Availability

Prime Big Deal Days listings mix new, renewed, and digital-code options. The Xbox Series S is all-digital by design, with no disc drive. The PS5 bundles ship with digital vouchers rather than discs, and the Nintendo Switch consoles can be either.

Renewed or open-box listings can appear alongside new ones, so check the condition and seller notes carefully. The Amazon listing will specify “Renewed” in the title if the unit is pre-owned.

How to Shop Video Game Deals During the Sale

During Prime Big Deal Days, check the platform and region code on every listing, the model or generation (PS5 launch vs PS5 Slim, Switch vs Switch OLED vs Switch Lite, Series X vs Series S), the bundle contents (game voucher, Game Pass code, controller color), and the condition. Confirm who sells and ships the unit, and that the listing is part of the Prime-eligible offer. Most video game offers during the sale require a Prime membership, and Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6-7, 2026, so prices and availability can change through the event.

Use this checklist before you add any console to your cart during the sale:

• Confirm the exact console model and storage size match the listing title
• Check whether the bundle includes a digital voucher, a disc, or a subscription code
• Verify the seller is Amazon or an authorized retailer shipping through Prime
• Check the condition note (new, renewed, open-box)
• Confirm Prime membership is active before the deal window opens
• Compare across this roundup to spot the best tier for your play style
